The Punjab University administration has made a big decision in the announcement that all 27 hostels of the university will be completely closed during the coming summer holidays, and students will have to vacate the hostel.
According to a notification issued by the University, the hostels will be closed from June 6 to August 27.
Who can stay in the hostel?
This year the University has implemented a strict policy:
Only international students will be allowed to stay in the hostel.
Last semester students, who are working on their thesis or thesis, can only stay in the hostel after regular approval of the university.
If a department wants to continue teaching or research activities during the holidays, it will also have to get permission from the university for the residence of the students.
What happened before?
In the first years, most students were allowed to stay in the hostel even during the summer holidays. However, this time the administration has strictly decided that the hostels will be completely empty, so that repairs, maintenance, and security work can be done easily.
Guidance for students
The Punjab University administration has appealed to all the students to follow the new instructions and arrange alternative housing to stay during the summer holidays.
Important points:
✅ All hostels will be closed from June 6 to August 27
