Javeria Saud Claims She Wrote ‘Ishq Murshid’ Song but Received No Credit

Renowned Pakistani actress Javeria Saud recently disclosed that she wrote the song for the popular drama series Ishq Murshid, but was not given proper credit for her work. In an interview on a private TV channel’s morning show, she revealed her contributions to several Pakistani dramas, emphasizing that despite writing the title tracks, she has never been acknowledged.

Deception from Friends

Javeria also opened up about the betrayal she faced from her own friends. “You learn from the betrayal of friends, and I have no regrets about not receiving credit for my work,” she shared during the interview. The actress expressed that the experience, while painful, has taught her valuable lessons.

Contributions to “Khuda Aur Mohabbat”

In addition to her work on Ishq Murshid, Javeria revealed that she produced the first season of the hit drama Khuda Aur Mohabbat and also wrote its song. The track became so popular that it was included in the second season of the series. However, she noted that changes were later made to the OST, and the credit was given to another artist.

Raising the Issue and Facing Pushback

When Javeria raised concerns about not being credited for her work on the Khuda Aur Mohabbat soundtrack, she was met with dismissive responses. She recalled being told, “If the song hadn’t been a hit, you wouldn’t have complained, and now that it’s popular, you’re asking for credit.” This response left her feeling disheartened but undeterred.

Uncredited Work on Multiple Projects

Javeria Saud concluded by reiterating that her contributions to several other drama series also went uncredited. Despite this, she remains positive and focused on her work, choosing not to dwell on the lack of recognition.
